This has to be some kind of record. The last three trips to San Clemente Island have gone. It is not that we do not make it there, but 3 consecutive weekends in a row. The weather or the military normally gets in the way. The last trip we again saw Giant Black Sea Bass, Soup Fin Sharks, Torpedo Rays, with many other critters being seen, and vis was very good around 60 to 80 feet.
We started out at “Little Flower”, with the normal resident GBSB there to greet the divers and couple of SFS were seen. Then over to “Rock Hawk Reef” again very good vis and divers enjoyed to sites. For the last dive moved to a different spot than I have ever been to before so of course a new name has to be made. As we were trying to come up with a name we looked up and huge root was sticking out and it looked just like a giant snake, hence the name snake cove. After looking a round more we opted for “Ghost Cove” as there is a cave there that would make Scooby-Doo run for cover. All the divers came back ranting about how good this spot was so into the old memory banks it went.

Until next time …………..
