Well once again another decade has passed and the New Year is starting out very good. We had the 1st of 3 two day trips with Mohave Scuba and Scuba Science to Catalina. The first dive was at “Little Farnsworth” and it was a great dive. The vis was around 50’ with mid 50’s water temp. We called Avalon harbor master and were given permission to the dive the “Valiant”. Another great dive with vis still about 40’. We then moved over to “Hen Rock” and the divers saw a few huge morays and some smart fat bugs. Now on to “Goat Harbor” to see black sea bass, but they must still be celebrating new years as they were no where to find found.
Moved up the island to “Bird Rock” for the night. Good choice, as several of the diver’s limited out on bugs with two dives. The next morning we moved over to the “High Spot” between Bird and Ship Rock. Two more divers limited out here, during the day. We decided to stay there for the remainder of the day and all divers had a great time.
As I said earlier, this is the 1st of 3 such two day trips. If you are interested in going please check the shops out on the calendar page of this web site. Hope to see you soon.

Until next time……….
