As the prop turns….

An update on the “Empire”. The “Force” is with me. SC has agreed to honor the original contract with me for the remainder of the year. So those of you that are inclined to go out with them the opportunity is here. I think there are 6 or 7 trips left with them.
Now off to nicer news… We had a very nice 2 day open boat trip this last weekend. We were scedualed for San Clemente, but the island was shut down by the navy. So we opted for SCI. Captain Ron, the fearless, took us out there and I swear he tried to hit every swell there was, and a few that weren’t. Anyway we did make it there and the diving was prestine.
First dive was at an arch that we found a few years ago. Most of the divers got to go in, but the current picked up and we had to close the gates. Fine. Moved over to 3 Sisters and had a great dive. Then around the corner to Arch Point. Giant Black Sea Bass everywhere. Then moved back to SE Kelp bed and more BSB. All in all divers saw over 20 different Sea Bass while we were here. Again waiting for the pics to post.
Next day we started out at Farnsworth Banks. I went to one of my regular dive sites, but no one was on the anchor so I moved forwards a few hundred yards. Every single person came back and told what a great dive it was. Gene Greenberg, a very experienced diver told me it was best spot on Farnsworth that he had ever been too, and he dove this spot at least 50 times.
Well now over to Back Rock. Vis not as good, but guess what? Giant Sea Bass again. Perhaps they are just after my boat. Who knows?
I am writing this from Phoenix, AZ looking for new business. And it is hot here, very, very hot. I have only Rob to blame for this, and I do.

Until next time……………………………
